I love meeting couples that are engaged. There really isn’t an easier way to make me smile than sitting down over a glass of Louis Martini and hearing all about a couple's journey - the highs (and lows) that make each love story worth fighting for.

Another reason I love talking about all things love is this: myself and my team wholeheartedly believe that weddings should be a fun-filled celebration, but why should it be all consuming and stressful? 

Hint: It shouldn't! Your wedding can be enjoyable, whimsical, luxurious, you name it, WITHOUT the stress. That's where working with a wedding planner or coordinator makes all the difference!

Hi! I’m Michelle.

Wife to Jeff, mother to sweet four-year-old Quinn, friend, wedding planner, professional Chow-Chow-petter, and Blake Lively superfan (pretty sure her and I would really hit it off).

When I chat with couples who are in the beginning stages of planning one of the biggest days of their lives, there is always a common thread: they just don’t have time, they're busy and have lives they want to keep living!

Maybe they're buying or renovating a home, working a full-time job while side-hustling, telling their pupper that he's "such a good boy," raising a child (or two), and maybe they want to have a social life, too. Maybe that's you!

Add in planning the most expensive, once-in-a-lifetime celebration you'll ever host and that can get a little stressful. Sound familiar?

Trust me, I get that. Jeff and I had a 4-month engagement (and he lived in Guatemala for almost the entire time).

But since 2012, we decided to help make sure there are no more disorganized, unnecessarily stressful weddings. You don't have the time (and most other couples don't) and it's more important that you can be fully present on such a big day than have every detail juuuust perfect. We've been fortunate enough to work with hundreds of couples. It feels crazy to say that, and we feel so lucky to work with amazing couples that we now get to call friends, too!

With a lot of hard work, couples putting their trust in us, and our team that came alongside to help us grow, in 2020 we had the privilege of bringing Alysha on as our Lead Planner!

We met Alysha when planning her destination wedding in 2015. We clicked immediately and not 5 minutes into our conversation, she hired Jeff and I to plan and officiate her wedding in Paris, France. We hit it off over Molly Bloom’s antojitos, bonded over our mutual obsession with NYC and champagne, then wandered through Paris together, becoming completely enamored with the city (and the dream of owning every Chanel and Hermes bag).

A perfect fit right from the start, Alysha is Maeck Wedding’s superstar planner and literally one of our favourite people in the world!

  • Her favourite artist: Taylor Swift (would hit it off just like Blake Lively and I do, and we'd be the perfect four best friends)

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to a few of the most commonly asked questions (but once we hop on a call, we can talk through these and any other questions you might have!

  • Depending on how much involvement you need from us, most couples book 12-24 months in advance. Some book much closer to the date. A quick note, we generally won't book a wedding more than 24 months/two years from the inquiry date, except for Destination Weddings. We understand those can take a bit more time to iron out plans.

  • It’s pretty common that we are onsite for 12 hours, but every wedding is a bit different so that number varies.

  • If you've hired us for planning or coordination, and we are available - then yes! Sometimes venues hold their rehearsals the day before your wedding ceremony, in which case, there's a really high likelihood we are not available for a rehearsal that same weekend (we'll be celebrating another wedding!).

  • A signed digital contract (no need to print anything) and a 50% deposit (by Visa/MC processed in Square, or e-transfer) confirms your booking. If you’d rather pay the total upfront, that’s great! If not, the rest is due 2 weeks prior. Unfortunately, we are not able to hold dates, but once we receive those two things, you're booked and the best day of your life just got a heck of a lot easier.

  • We are extremely transparent about any extra costs and will always tell you about any upfront. No surprises. Here are some added fees that may apply.

    Travel
    Local travel is always included. For multiple site visits, rehearsals, or for venues out of our local area (ex: NOTL, GTA, Muskoka), a small travel charge applies. We don't make money on travel fees, but it does cover our costs to get there.

    Parking
    You've maybe been to Toronto a few times, but have you parked there lately? A 3-hour gig for a ceremony can come out to $40 in parking. If there are going to be parking fees, we'd kindly ask that you take care of those.

    Accommodations
    In some cases, we may need one-night accommodation for the night of your wedding (ex: if we're at your wedding past 12AM and the venue is 1 hour+ from our home). It doesn't happen often, but we don't want any of our team driving over an hour in the middle of the night after working 12-14 hours.

    Miscellaneous fees
    Sometimes couples ask us to buy things the day of their wedding (think: "we forgot champagne for mimosas - can you get us two bottles?"). We sure can pick it up, but we'll have you reimburse us.
